The #HITproject helped create teams of young people, who designed material for a campaign at European level to counter hate speech and behavior towards people who have migrated.

The project offers free educational materials and a new empowerment model for young people in Europe, aged 14-19, to tackle racism, xenophobia and discrimination against people who have migrated. Members of hate breaker teams were trained through participatory and inclusive arts-based practices, facilitated by mentors, to counter hateful behavior in their schools and communities.

The project started on October 1, 2018, has a duration of 24 months and brings together nine European partners from different countries: HFC Hope For Children CRC Policy Center (Cyprus - Lead Partner), Rinova Limited (UK), Collage Arts ( United Kingdom), Associazione Culturale Mulab (Italy), CEPS Projectes Socials (Barcelona), “The smile of the child” (Greece), Frederick University (Cyprus), Metropolisnet-European Metropolis Employment Network Ewiv (Germany) and Gender Alternatives Foundation ( Bulgaria).

The HIT project (REC-RRAC-RACI-AG-2017-807861) has been co-financed with the support of DG Justice and Consumers: Equal Rights and Citizenship Program of the European Commission.
